Author Daemon Manx is the pen name of Robert R. Chiossi who was born during the very first Super Bowl. His mother went into labor just as the game began, at which point his father instructed her to sit-tight until half-time. She managed to follow his direction and was then taken to the hospital during the break, she was dropped off by her husband who then headed back home and watched the remainder of the game.

Robert grew up loving music and learned to play the guitar and bass; he spent years playing in bands and touring the U.S. with several small lesser-known acts. His musical career came to a pinnacle when he landed a roadie job in NYC, working as a stagehand at various venues including, Saturday Night Live, and David Letterman. In 1991 while delivering a piano, Robert was involved in a car accident with Ronald Reagan’s motorcade. The former President and first lady had just exited the limo moments before Robert smashed into the side of it.

In 1999 Robert was a contestant on the gameshow Wheel of Fortune where he went to the bonus round and won a Chevy Tahoe, along with 16k dollars. He got to speak candidly with Pat and Vanna and spent a few days in LA celebrating the victory.

It hasn’t been all win falls; however, Robert is a recovering addict and will have ten years free from active addiction this coming Halloween. His addiction brought him to some very dark places, including the inside of the US prison system where he spent 8 years of his life.
