Join us as we talk to virtual teacher Richard Jacobsen, who shares his experience teaching American curriculum to Chinese students during lockdown.
Richard was born and raised in New York City. Growing up, education was always a priority among his extended family. He was taught to always give 100%. He graduated from St. John's University in New York with a B.A in English and my Masters Ed. in Adolescent Education. As a student, he was enrolled in private school, and as a teacher he have spent his entire career in the same environment, primarily working with Chinese nationals studying in the US on education visas. Eventually, he made the shift to virtual teaching, and worked with an American institution that provides an American curriculum remotely to students based in different parts of China.
