Professional Learning Specialist
Erin Kiger has worked in education for 17 years. She began working as a classroom teacher in 2004 and earned an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Technology Integration. She left the classroom to support teachers with technology integration. Since 2012, she has been working with teachers as both a technology and an instructional coach. In 2018, she earned an MA in Educational Leadership with a focus on Educational Technology. At the beginning of 2020-2021, she left her school and joined the educational technology world with a role at Swivl (educational technology company). She is passionate about advocating for teachers, loves sharing ways to use technology to make connections, and to make teaching and learning exciting.
She published her first book with EduMatch Publishing, Balancing the EDU Life. She collected numerous stories from educators of different roles and backgrounds who were willing to share their struggles and successes along their path in education. The book is meant to bring everyone together based on shared experiences, so that no one feels alone in education.
